Description
Lenton's Butcher's Shop and Number 3 is a shop and house located in Long Sutton, dating from the early 19th century, with a late 19th-century shop front and 20th-century alterations. The building is constructed of rendered brick and features a 20th-century slate roof. It has rendered coped gables and two and a half storeys with four bays.
The 19th-century shop front includes a part-glazed door with an overlight and a panelled reveal to the right, along with a large projecting shop window that has a single large sash at the front, casements above, and single narrow sashes on the sides. An entablature extends over the doorway. To the right of the shop front is another doorway with a part-glazed and panelled door set in a plain doorcase. Further right are two plain sash windows. Above these are four glazing bar sashes, with four smaller similar sashes above. All openings, except those of the shop, are set under segmental arches with painted wedge lintels.
