Description
Hagg New Hall is a house dating from the late 18th century, constructed of red brick with a hipped slate roof. It features a single red brick stack at the rear left and has a raised brick eaves band along with first and second floor bands. The building is two and a half storeys tall and consists of five bays. The central bay slightly projects and is topped with a pediment that contains a single recessed semi-circular blind panel with a decorative motif.
The central doorway has a six-fielded panel door, with the top two panels now glazed. It also features a decorative fanlight and a fielded panel reveal, flanked by single Doric pilasters that support an entablature with an open pediment. On either side of the doorway are two glazing bar-sash windows, with five similar sashes above and five smaller sashes on the top floor, all under segmental arches.
Inside, the room to the left of the doorway has a fielded panelled dado, along with some fielded panelled shutters and doors, the shutters featuring butterfly hinges. There are two doorways with fluted architraves and patera. The open well staircase includes turned balusters, carved tread ends, and a dado.
