Description
Thornbury House is a house dating from the early 18th century, with a mid-18th century extension. It is constructed of red brick and features a pantile roof. The building has two red brick gable stacks and brick coped gables with kneelers, set on a deep plinth. There is a first floor band and the house is two storeys tall with three bays, the central bay slightly projecting. The central doorway has a panelled door with a reveal and is flanked by two pilasters that support a small hood. On either side of the doorway are single segmental arched glazing bar sash windows. Above, there are three similar smaller sashes, with the one in the central bay being the smallest. Attached to the left is a mid-18th century one and a half storey, two bay red brick and pantile wing, which sits on a lower plinth. This wing features a single large glazing bar Yorkshire sash window with a large glazing bar Yorkshire sash overlight above it. To the left of the wing is a segmental arched doorway with a plank door.
