Description

No. 3 London Road is a house built around 1820. It is constructed of red brick and features a hipped slate roof with three 20th-century lateral stacks. The eaves are bracketed and moulded. The house has two storeys and three bays. The central doorway is accessed by four steps and includes an ornate panelled door, an ornate traceried fanlight, and an ornate panelled reveal. Flanking the doorway are single fluted Doric half columns with triglyphs and guttae on dosserets, supporting an open modillion pediment. On either side of the doorway are single glazing bar sash windows, with three similar sashes above, all featuring flush wedge lintels and scalloped blind hoods.
