Description

This stable block dates to circa 1820. It is constructed of red brick with a corrugated roof and a colourwashed rendered plinth. The building is two storeys high and consists of five bays. The central bay contains a carriage entrance with a basket arch, a plank double door, and a blocked overlight. To the left of the entrance is a single cambered arched sash window, which is now part blocked. To the right is a single small fixed light, and further to the left and right are single semi-circular arched doorways, each with a plank door and a blocked fanlight. Above, there are five small casement windows, all two-light and cambered arched, except for the single window on the left, which has three lights and is set under a flat arch. A single carved head is located beneath the central window. The building is listed for group value only.
