Description

The lych gate to the Church of St. Peter, built in 1912, is made of limestone ashlar and features a timber frame with a hipped and gabled Collyweston slate roof. It is supported by indented angle piers, and the roof includes cusped and pierced timber framed panels in the gables. The gates have latticed lower panels and plain rails, while the sides are adorned with unglazed three-light chamfered mullioned windows. This structure was erected in memory of Major General Mildmay W. Willson, K.C.B., who passed away in 1912.
