Description

The lychgate to the Church of St. Peter is a war memorial built around 1920. It is constructed from ashlar stone and features a slate roof in the Gothic Revival style. The lychgate has moulded pointed-arched entrances and angled corner buttresses that contain statues in cusped niches. Each side includes a 5-light window with cusped heads. The front and rear gables display a crucifix and a statue with a cusped canopy, along with texts from the Old and New Testaments. Inside, rolls of honour are carved into the masonry.
