Description
Wainwright's Farmhouse is a farmhouse that has been converted into a house. It features various elements from the late 18th century and early 19th century, along with some 20th-century alterations. The building is constructed of English garden wall bond brick and has a slate roof. It has an irregular plan with a total of six bays, rising to two and three storeys. The first bay is three storeys high, while the others are two storeys with differing rooflines. The second bay is set back and has a 20th-century porch. There is a door located in the fourth bay. To the right, there is a small added wing, and to the left, a lean-to structure. The windows are all 20th-century replacement casements with either cambered or flat brick-arched heads. The farmhouse features ridge and gable chimney stacks, and there are elliptical headed windows at the rear, one of which is blocked. Inside, there are hewn chamfered beams.
