Description

Hazelhurst Hall Farmhouse is an early 18th-century farmhouse constructed of English garden wall bond brick with a slate roof. The building features two rooms deep and two wide, comprising two bays and three storeys, plus an attic. The gabled elevation has an off-centre door that is flanked by 20th-century bay windows. The door itself has studded ledges, an overlight, and a shell canopy that has been replaced by a roof extending over the bays. There are two windows on both the first and second floors, along with one in the attic, all of which have been replaced with three-light timber mullion and transom casements featuring segmental brick-arched heads. The right side of the building displays the roofline of the earlier hall, while the left side is rendered. A chimney stack is located on the right slope of the roof. The rear of the farmhouse has similar windows but includes stair windows at the half level. Inside, there are six-panel doors with H hinges, a closed string staircase with balusters and a moulded handrail, a king-post roof truss, and a vaulted cellar.
