Description

The lychgate to the Church of St Peter, built around 1920, is constructed from coursed squared sandstone and sawn timber, featuring a plain tile hipped roof that extends to the north and south. It has a chamfered stone base that supports a timber superstructure made of large square timbers that are closely set. The gates on the north side have plank uprights that are diagonally braced with a curved top, and there is notable wrought iron work present.
