Description

The Old Cottage is a cottage dating from the early 17th century that was restored in 1952. It is constructed with a timber frame and red brick infill, topped with a thatched roof featuring a single brick stack positioned just off the ridge. The building is a single storey with attics, and box framing is visible on all four sides. The north elevation includes a doorway on the right with a plank door, a two-light casement window to the right, and three similar two-light windows to the left. Above, there is an eyebrow dormer with another two-light window. Inside, the cottage features inglenook fireplaces, exposed beams, and stud partitions.
