Description

The lych gate at the entrance to the churchyard of the Church of St. Peter was built in 1860 by J. L. Pearson. It features ashlar limestone side walls that support a heavy timber framework adorned with cusped decoration and pierced trefoils. The roof is made of stone slate and the wooden gates are designed with pierced quatrefoils. The structure has a hipped gablet roof topped with ridge tiles that are decorated with upright leaf patterns. Inside the roof, there is a 19th-century lantern hanging down.
