Description
Nos. 14, 15, and 16 are three semi-detached estate houses built around 1870 for Harman Grisewood. They are constructed from coursed squared and dressed limestone and sandstone, featuring ashlar quoins and a stone slate roof with ashlar stacks. The buildings have an 'n'-shaped plan with porches that project from the left and right-hand walls.
The facade is one and a half storeys high, with principal gables that project forward on the right and left, flanking two half dormers. There is a lean-to porch attached to the left wall of the right-hand gable. The facade has four windows, which include two and three-light metal casements, mostly with single horizontal glazing bars, and some retain original patterned glazing. The entrances to the porches are round-arched, with 19th-century plank doors inside. The gable-end coping is slightly stepped and features moulded kneelers. The interiors have not been inspected.
