Description
Corner House is a house that dates back to the 16th century, with alterations made in the 17th century, 1700, and extensive changes in the 20th century. It is constructed from coursed limestone rubble, featuring ashlar quoins and dressings, and has a pantiled roof topped with a single triple funnelled square ashlar axial ridge stack that has a moulded cornice.
The building has a two-storey front that is irregular and consists of five bays. The central entrance is a 20th-century door, above which is an ashlar lozenge datestone inscribed with "JWE 1700." On either side of the door are single four-light windows. Additionally, there are single two-light windows at half-storey level on both sides. On the first floor, there is a single two-light window flanked by single four-light windows. All the windows feature ovolo moulded mullions and transoms, along with moulded ashlar surrounds.
