Description
No. 19 on Main Street is a house dating from the late 17th century, with alterations and extensions made in the 19th century and further changes in the 20th century. The building is constructed of coursed limestone rubble, featuring some ashlar quoins, brick dressings, and pantiled roofs with raised stone coped gables and two brick gable stacks.
The house has a two-storey, irregular three-bay front with a plain red brick eaves course. The central entrance consists of a planked door, with a small fixed glazing bar light to the left and a three-light glazing bar casement. To the right, there is a similar two-light window. On the first floor, there are three matching three-light windows set into the eaves, and all lower windows have segmental brick arched heads. To the right of the main house is a lower two-storey single-bay service block, which features three-light glazing bar windows on each floor.
