Description

The gates to Blankney Hall date from the mid-19th century and are made of ashlar and iron. They consist of a pair of gate piers featuring moulded bases, rusticated shafts, and a moulded entablature, which were originally topped by ball finials that are now missing. The gates themselves are ornate ironwork. On either side of the main gates, there are three similar but slightly narrower rusticated piers, some of which still have their original ball finials. These piers are connected by a low ashlar wall with coping and ornate iron spearhead railings. The gates are included for their group value.
