Description

Northgate House is a late 18th-century house, remodelled in the mid-19th century. It is constructed of brick with stone dressings, and has a pantile roof with two gable and one ridge stack. The eaves are cogged, and the gables are coped. The house is two storeys high with garrets, and has a three-bay front. It is arranged in an L-shape. The central wooden doorcase features a pediment and a part-glazed panelled door, flanked by single canted bay windows with margin light sashes. Above the windows are three segment-headed margin light sashes. The west side has been renewed with glazing bar sashes. The right gable has a 20th-century casement window to the garret. The interior has not been inspected. Attached to the building is a railing.
