Description

This is a late 18th-century house located on the north side of Church Street, Southwell. It is constructed of brick with stone dressings and has a hipped roof covered in concrete tiles. The house has a stepped, rendered plinth and cogged eaves. There is a single ridge and gable stack, along with a rear wall stack. The windows are glazing bar sashes, with the front windows having rubbed brick heads. The house is three stories high and has a three-window front, with a dummy window on the first and second floors to the left. The second-floor windows are smaller than those below. A central, moulded wooden doorcase, featuring a dentil cornice and overlight, frames a six-panel door. To the right is a short rear wing with a single window on each floor. The left end of the front elevation incorporates a single 20th-century three-light casement window on the ground and first floor, and a semicircular window above these, with only its central panel glazed. All these windows are topped with keystones.
