Description

Nos. 80 and 81 Bailgate is a house that has been converted into a house and two shops. It dates from the early 19th century, with a late 19th-century shopfront. The building is constructed of brick and features a slate roof with a central party wall stack. It has overhanging moulded wooden eaves and is two storeys high with two bays. The pilastered wooden shopfront includes a splayed central doorway with a half-glazed door and two windows, along with a corniced fascia and a sunblind. Above the shopfront, there are two glazing bar sashes with splayed painted stone lintels. The interior was refitted in the 19th century and late 20th century.
