Description
12A Bailgate is a house that has been converted into a house and shop. It dates from the late 18th century, with a shopfront added in the late 19th century. The building is constructed of brick and features a plain tile roof behind a parapet, along with a side wall stack. It has a moulded stone cornice and window surrounds. The structure is three storeys high and consists of a single bay. The shopfront includes a recessed glazed door with an overlight on the left, and a plate glass window to the right. The fascia is supported by decorated scroll brackets. Above the shopfront, there is a central glazing bar sash window, with a smaller glazing bar sash window above it. The interior has not been inspected.
