Description

Nos. 85, 86, and 87 Bailgate are three houses that have been converted into two shops. They date from the late 18th century and are constructed of brick with pantile roofs and a gable stack. The building features dentilled wooden eaves and stands three storeys high with three bays. The wooden shopfronts include a fascia. On the left, there is a shop with a glazed door and overlight, along with a single window. To the left of this shop, there is a round-headed passage opening. On the right, a glazed door is set in a panelled recess with a fanlight and keystone, and this is flanked by a three-light wood mullioned window. Above the shopfronts, there are three glazing bar sashes, and above these, there are three smaller glazing bar sashes. The interior has not been inspected.
