Description
1 and 2 Lindum Terrace is a pair of houses, currently serving as a school boarding house, built around 1850. The buildings are constructed of gault brick with stucco dressings and feature a hipped slate roof with two ridge stacks. They rise three storeys high and are arranged in three bays. The windows are plain sashes, and the design includes first and second floor bands as well as bracketed eaves.
The central bay is recessed and flanked by single hipped wings. Beyond these wings, there are set-back entrance bays with porches. The ground floor openings have round heads with keystones. The front façade features a central double sash window in a projecting surround, flanked by single canted bay windows, with the right bay adorned with a cast-iron crest. The porches have pilastered doorways and cornices, along with two matching side openings. Above the ground floor, there are three sashes with cornices, and above each porch, there is a plain round-headed window. Finally, there are three smaller sashes with eared architraves on the top floor. The interior has not been inspected.
