Description

Lindum Holme Lodge, formerly known as the lodge to Lindum Holme, is a former lodge that has been converted into a house. It dates from the early 19th century and has undergone some alterations in the late 20th century. The building is constructed of dressed stone and stucco, featuring hipped and pyramidal slate roofs with a ridge stack.

The lodge has a plinth, channelled rusticated ground floor, first floor and eaves bands, and a parapet. It is two storeys high and has two bays. The west front, facing the street, has a slightly projecting centre with three margin light sash windows. Above these, there are three similar sashes with round heads and hoodmoulds. The parapet is adorned with four arch-topped pedestals.

On the south side, there is a single-storey full-width addition that includes a door, flanked on the left by two blank openings and on the right by a blank opening and a 20th-century window. Above this addition, to the left, is a projection with a round-headed margin light sash, flanked by single blank openings with hoodmoulds. Above them, there are four pedestals, and to the right, there are three round-headed windows.

The interior has not been inspected. Outside, to the south, there is a pair of square gatepiers that are rendered and topped with pyramidal caps.
