Description
No. 2 Bailgate is a house that now serves as a house and garage entrance, dating from the mid-18th century and altered in the mid-20th century. The building is constructed of brick with stucco dressings and features a coated slate roof with a side wall stack. It has a first-floor band, a moulded eaves cornice, and a curved parapet with three baluster sections. The structure is three storeys high and has three bays. The garage opening is flanked by a door and a showcase, with three glazing bar sash windows above, followed by three smaller glazing bar sash windows. All of these windows are topped with brick flat arches that have painted ashlar keystones. The interior has not been inspected.
