Description
This cottage, located 15 metres east of Lynne Cottage, dates from the mid-18th century. It is constructed of mud and stud with partial brick cladding and features a thatched half-hipped roof covered in corrugated iron sheeting. The building is a single storey plus a garret and has a two-bay lobby entry plan with a central stack. The west front has a slightly off-centre doorway with a plank door, flanked by two single two-light sliding sash windows with glazing bars. Inside, there are two main rooms with smaller rooms at either end. The cottage includes two inglenook fireplaces and a staircase located at the side of the stack. The interior also features chamfered cross beams, while the original roof structure is now obscured by a ceiling.
