Description

Wayside Antiques is a former house that now serves as a house and shop. The building has a stone base dating from the 15th century and was altered in the early 19th century, with elements from the early 18th century. It features a 15th-century ashlar plinth, red brick in Flemish bond, and ashlar quoins. The roof is made of pantiles with raised brick coped gables and has two brick gable stacks. The structure is two stories tall with a five-bay front that includes a first-floor band and a dogtooth eaves course. The central entrance consists of a six-panelled door, which is flanked by pairs of glazing bar sashes. The openings have splayed brick arches, and on the first floor, there are three glazing bar sashes set into the eaves.
