Description

Big Bens Antiques is a house and shop located on High Street in Staplehurst. It dates from the 18th century or early 19th century, with alterations made in the 19th and 20th centuries. The ground floor is constructed of red and grey brick in Flemish bond, while the first floor is tile-hung. The building has a plain tile roof and is two storeys high with attics, featuring a gabled design. There is a rear stack on the right side and a small hipped dormer with a two-light casement window. The front has irregular fenestration with two two-light casements and two adjacent half-glazed doors situated under a continuous flat bracketed hood towards the centre. A rear lean-to is also present. The interior has not been inspected.
