Description

This is a house or shop building, originally a row of houses, dating from the early 17th century or earlier. It was later altered in the late 18th or early 19th century. The building is timber-framed and constructed with a combination of brick and weatherboard. The ground floor on the left is red brick in stretcher bond, the centre is red and grey brick in English bond, and the gable end on the right is partly rendered and partly painted brick. The upper floor is weatherboarded to the front and tile-hung to the right gable end. The roof is tiled and half-hipped to the right. There is a brick stack towards the left end.

The building has an irregular arrangement of three windows, including two 3-light casements and one 16-pane sash window. A rectangular bay window with a brick base sits under a jetty at the right end. There are three panelled doors: one to the left end (No. 3), one up two steps to the right of centre (No. 2), and one up three steps towards the right end (No. 1). A rear lean-to has been added. The interior has not been inspected. The building has a sandstone plinth to the right gable end and underbuilt jetties to the centre, left, and right, with the right jetty returning along the gable and to the rear, supported by plain dragon posts.
