Description
No. 30 West Street is a house dating from the early to mid-19th century, with some 20th-century alterations. It is constructed of chequered red and stock brick. The roof, which is not visible from ground level, features coped gables, kneelers, and gable stacks. The building has three storeys and a three-bay front. The central doorway has a semi-circular voussoired head with a raised keystone, a blind fanlight, a moulded doorcase, and a panelled door. On either side of the doorway are single three-light gently canted bay windows with plain sashes and segmental heads. Above the bays are single glazing bar sashes, flanked by single tripartite glazing bar sashes. At the top, there is a single 20th-century casement window, flanked by single tripartite 20th-century casements. All the windows feature voussoired wedge lintels with raised keystones.
