Description
Bracknell House is a house located on the north side of West Street in Horncastle, dating from the mid-18th century, with later alterations in the late 19th and 20th centuries. The building is constructed of rendered and colourwashed brick, featuring applied, painted mock box framing. It has a concrete tiled roof with stone coped gables and gable stacks.
The house is two storeys high with an attic and has a four-bay front. The doorway is positioned to the right and is flanked by Doric half columns, topped with an open pediment, and features a panelled door. To the left of the doorway are two glazing bar sash windows, while to the right is a single glazing bar sash window. Above, there are three glazing bar sash windows. The attic includes two flat-headed dormers, each with two-light 20th-century casements.
