Description

The Greyhound Hotel, located at No. 38 Upgate, is possibly a 17th-century building. It has two storeys and is finished in roughcast. The hotel features a steep modern roof and has four windows, some of which are three-light windows dating from the mid-19th century. To the left, there is a flat carriage arch. The entrance door consists of six panels and is topped with a cornice and pediment, although the centre light above the door is modern. The hotel is part of a group with Nos. 36 to 52 (even).
