Description

This is a shop dating from the late 18th century, with alterations made in the late 19th century. It is constructed of colourwashed brick with stucco dressings, and has a slate roof with a single gable stack. The building is three storeys high and has a three-bay front facing Market Square. Stucco quoins are present on the right-hand side only. A central doorway has been blocked and is flanked by 19th-century wooden shop fronts; one of these features a dentillated cornice. The first and second floors contain pairs of glazing bar sash windows, separated by blank window openings. All openings have rusticated splayed stucco lintels with key blocks. A second-floor band runs along the gable end.
