Description
Lloyds Bank is a bank building constructed in 1892. It features red brick with limestone and terracotta dressings, a hipped slate roof, and two wall stacks. The building is two storeys high and has a three-bay front with a plinth, a moulded stone sill band, a dentillated terracotta string course, and corbelled eaves.
On the ground floor, there are three plain sash windows with top-hung lights above. The first floor has two similar windows. All windows are adorned with terracotta voussoirs and moulded key blocks. Between the upper windows, there is a terracotta panel shaped like an arch with a key block, topped with a cornice and a segmental pediment. Inside the arch is a rectangular stone panel that reads "The Capital and Counties Bank Limited."
To the right of the building is a bowed corner doorway, featuring a six-panel door with a moulded stone surround. Above the door is a panel inscribed with the word "Bank" and a decorative angle bracket. This building is included for its group value only.
