Description
This building, originally a house and now used as Mawer, Mason & Bell Estate Agents, dates from the early 19th century with some 20th-century alterations. It is constructed of red brick and features a slate roof with stone-coped gables, moulded brick eaves, and a projecting gable stack.
The north front is two stories high and has four bays. To the left, there is a doorway with a segmental head and a panelled door. Next to it, on the left, is a small sliding sash window with a segmental head. To the right, there is a fixed small 20th-century window, followed by another sliding sash window with a segmental head. Above, there is a single small sliding sash window, also with a segmental head.
The south front rises three stories and consists of two bays. It features two plain sash windows on the ground floor, with two plain sash windows directly above and two smaller plain sash windows above those. All of these windows have margin lights and segmental heads. There is a 20th-century extension with a shop front to the east, which is not of special interest.
