Description

White Cottage is a cottage dating from the early 17th century, with alterations made in the 19th century. It is constructed of whitewashed brick and features a corrugated iron roof with raised brick coped tumbled gables and a central large brick chimney stack. The original layout was a lobby entry with a T-plan. The cottage is two storeys high and has a three-bay front with corbelled eaves. On the ground floor, there is a blocked doorway with a two-light casement window to the left, a single similar window to the left, and a glazing bar sliding sash window to the right. On the first floor, there is a smaller similar window set into the eaves. The original ground floor openings have segmental heads.
