Description
The farm buildings at Grainthorpe House, dating from around 1830, consist of stables and a dovecote. They are constructed of red brick and feature hipped and gabled roofs made of pantiles and slate. The structure is two stories tall and has eleven bays, with an advanced and gabled single bay rising to three stories, and six additional two-story bays to the right, the end bay also being advanced and gabled.
On the ground floor of the central advanced bay, there is a single fixed light window with a glazing bar, and above it on the first floor, a circular glazing bar window is present, accompanied by five similar windows to the right and a blocked circular light at the end gable. To the left on the first floor, there are seven louvred openings and four plain two-light sliding sash windows. The central block features another circular light on the second floor and a sunk circular panel in the dentillated gable.
On the farmyard side, there is a central basket-arched planked doorway, with three similar stable doorways to the left and nine wider basket arches to the right, some of which have been filled in later.
