Description

This structure consists of approximately 40 metres of wall and gate piers along the street boundary of the playground at Waltham on the Wolds Church of England School, built in 1844. The wall is made of coursed squared limestone with limestone dressings and features ridged stone coping. There are central double-leaf timber gates with ornamental hinges, as well as single-leaf gates at either end. The gates are flanked by stone gate-piers topped with ridged pyramidal stone caps and square, rounded finials.
