Description

Moorlands Farmhouse is a late 18th-century house, originally incorporating a shop. It was altered in the 20th century. The building is constructed of coursed squared limestone with a half-hipped pantile roof and brick ridge stacks. It is a two-storey, four-bay range. A six-panel door with a fanlight, pilastered wood surround, and a straight hood is located to the right of the centre. To the left of the centre is a shop front with a blocked central door flanked by bow windows, all with a moulded wood surround and cornice hood. The end bays project slightly. The bay furthest to the left has large double-leaf plank doors. To the right of the door is a northeast sash window with a wood lintel, above which is a plank loft door on the first floor. The right-hand bay has a 16-pane sash window to the ground floor with a flat-arched head and key block, and a similar sash window to the first floor. Similar sash windows are located on the first floor within the recessed central bays. The interior has not been inspected.
