Description

The pump shelter, dating from the mid to late 19th century, features a timber frame and a pyramidal slate roof adorned with a band of 'fish-scale' slates and a timber finial. It has an octagonal shape and is supported by a low coursed squared limestone wall with a chamfered top, which includes an opening on the west side only. The main panels of the frame are designed with diagonal cross struts, while half-panels above have diagonal struts extending to the eaves. The posts and struts are stop-chamfered.
