Description
Nos 2 and 3 Church Lane are a pair of cottages, now a house, dating from the 17th and 18th centuries, with alterations made in the 20th century. The buildings are constructed of coursed limestone rubble and feature thatch and pantile roofs, along with brick ridge stacks. Originally designed as one-unit plans, they are two stories tall and have a four-window range. A 20th-century door is located to the right of the center, featuring a wooden lintel. The windows are irregularly glazed, with two-light casement windows. The ground floor window on the far left has a chamfered stone lintel, indicating it was likely a former stone mullion window. The first floor has a window on the far left and additional windows on the right side, which are set in eyebrow dormers. Inside, the cottages have chamfered spine beams.
