Description
Nos 20 and 20A Whitbourne Springs are a pair of semi-detached cottages dating from the mid-17th century. They are constructed from painted coursed rubble stone and feature tiled roofs with a pair of diagonally-set brick stacks positioned along the axis. The cottages are two storeys high and have a five-window front facing north. There are planked doors on both the left and right sides, with three single-light and two three-light recessed chamfered mullioned casements in between. On the first floor, there are four two-light mullioned casements and one wooden casement. The left side of the building has 20th-century casements, while the rear includes a pair of 20th-century wings with 20th-century steel casements. The interior is reported to have chamfered beams.
