Description

The Garden Cottage is a detached cottage dating from the late 17th century to the early 18th century. It is constructed of painted rubble stone and features a tiled roof with a brick stack on the left side. The building is two stories high and has four windows. The entrance is a 20th-century door located to the left of the center, which is covered by a tiled canopy. To the left of the door, there is a three-light recessed chamfered mullioned casement, and to the right, a three-light cyma-mullioned casement, along with another 20th-century door and a single casement. On the first floor, there are a mix of window styles, including a three-light recessed chamfered mullioned casement, a two-light recessed chamfered mullioned casement, a three-light cyma-mullioned casement, and a 20th-century casement. The left side of the cottage has 20th-century casements, while the right side features a blocked doorway, a single light, and a three-light casement. The rear of the cottage has an outshut on the left. The interior was not accessible during the survey conducted in June 1986.
