Description
Thatched Farm is a former farmhouse located on Waltham High Street, dating from the 18th century and altered in the 20th century. The building is constructed of coursed squared limestone and features a thatched roof with a brick end stack. It has an L-shaped plan and is two stories high with a two-window range. To the right of the center, there is a six-panel, part-glazed door with a stone lintel, which is accessed by four stone steps. The ground floor has tripartite sash windows with stone lintels, while the first floor features two-light casement windows beneath eyebrow dormers. The left side has quoins and an ironstone-coped gable. There is a wing at the rear right and a single-storey 19th-century brick extension to the left, which has a lean-to roof, a stable door to the right, and a low eight-pane sash window to the left, both with a continuous wood lintel. The interior has not been inspected.
