Description

The barn and granary at Stoneleigh, also known as Number 17, is an early 19th-century structure located on the north side of Waltham High Street. It is built of red brick and features a half-hipped pantile roof. The building consists of nine bays, with the central bay projecting forward. This central section includes opposed cart entrances that have double-leaf doors topped with a segmental arch and a limestone key block. Each bay is equipped with two tiers of ventilation slits, and the building has stepped brick eaves. The three bays on the left end, which were formerly used as a granary, have a first floor.
