Description

The Old Mill is a tower mill located on Waltham Mill Lane, dating from 1868. It is constructed of red brick in English garden wall bond and features a domed roof made of fibreglass. The mill has a circular plan and consists of five stages. The doorway is topped with stone lintels, and there are one-light windows also with stone lintels. The bottom stage has had extra windows added in the 20th century, along with a 20th-century porch linking it to a 20th-century cottage, which is not of special architectural interest. The original roof was topped with a cast-iron ball finial dated 1868.
