Description

This is a section of wall approximately 2 meters long, located at the west corner of Shoby Priory, which is also known as Priory Farmhouse. The wall dates from the early 16th century and has been repaired in the 19th and 20th centuries. It is constructed of coursed squared limestone and ironstone. The wall features a stone coping and includes a moulded doorway with a Tudor-arched head, a rectangular wave-moulded surround, and a hood mould. The wall is attached to the left side of Shoby Priory and projects at a right angle to enclose a garden.
