Description
The boundary wall of The Priory is a Grade II listed structure dating from the 18th and 19th centuries. It is a high brick wall built on a plinth, stretching across most of the frontage. The earlier western section features an entrance where the wall curves inward to meet square piers, with an arched doorway set between them. The wall is constructed of red brick, with moulded stone caps on the piers and coping above the arch. The western end is defined by a brick pier topped with a moulded brick cap. Moving eastward, the wall continues, and a pair of stone-capped piers, now connected by the continuous wall, indicate the location of a former carriage entrance. At the eastern end, there is a small pier, and the last short section of the wall terminates against a stable building.
