Description
Western House is an 18th-century building located on the south side of Odiham High Street. It features a symmetrical facade on the north side, consisting of two storeys and three windows. The roof is hipped at each end and covered with red tiles, while the brickwork is laid in Flemish bond with red bricks. The first floor has rubbed flat arches, and the ground floor has elliptical openings. All windows are three-light sashes set in reveals, with fanlights above the ground-floor windows. The doorway also has a fanlight and a six-panelled door with sidelights above a panelled dado, accessed by stone steps. Curved walls on either side lead to stone-capped piers, which are connected by a low brick boundary wall that has a break in the center and a stone coping; the former wrought-iron rails are now missing. The west end of the building features a two-storeyed curved bay, with a flat center that includes a sash window above a French door. The south wing retains some old features, and there is a stable block to the south-west, constructed of red brick with a red tile roof.
