Description
This is a wall located along the south side of the churchyard, extending south along Wing Road. It serves as a boundary between the churchyard and the grounds of the rectory and runs along part of the western side of the rectory grounds. The wall dates from the 17th to early 18th century and is constructed of coursed limestone rubble topped with pitched coping and a roll-moulded ashlar ridge. It is a high wall featuring a chamfered stone surround to a doorway that connects the rectory and the churchyard. The southern return of the wall has a slight projection with another chamfered doorway. To the north of this projection, the wall has been slightly altered, with part of the upper stonework replaced by 20th-century concrete blocks. The wall is included for its group value.
