Description

South View Cottage is a cottage that originated in the late 16th or 17th century. It was refaced in the 19th century and has been extensively restored in the 20th century. The structure features cruck framing, whitewashed brick, and a 20th-century Welsh slate roof with brick end stacks. The cottage is 1½ storeys high and has two 20th-century three-light casement windows, along with a lean-to that projects forward on the right side. There is also a door and a single-light window. The building has two eyebrow dormers, each with 20th-century casements. Inside, there are ceiling beams and two pairs of cruck blades that are partly visible in the cross walls.
